2014 Arctic Fox Canadian Gold Coins

The arctic fox (vulpes lagopus) is known as the white fox and is Canada’s smallest member of the canid family. The fox has a deep, thick fur that is brown in the summer and white in the winter. Coin collectors, investors and wildlife enthusiasts alike will cherish this beautiful gold coin that captures one of Canada’s most majestic animals surveying its domain. The coin is a premium version of the Royal Canadian Mint’s .9999 pure gold bullion. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. The Canadian Arctic Fox coin beautifully contrasts Canada’s loyalty to the Crown and its pristine wilderness.

$10 Gold Liberty Eagle Coins

Also known as the Coronet, the $10 Liberty Gold Eagle Coin is a timeless classic with a design by sculptor Christian Gobrecht. This design of Lady Liberty in profile would also appear later on the $2.50 Liberty gold coin and the $5 Liberty gold coin, which added to its fame. The motto “IN GOD WE TRUST,” so familiar to us today, was not always on the coin. During 1838 and 1866, it was removed. As a product of the U.S. Mint, Coronets were made in Denver, Carson City, Philadelphia and San Francisco. These are highly prized by coin enthusiasts and retirement investors alike.

$5 Gold Liberty Eagle Coins

Designed by the U.S. Mint’s chief engraver Christian Gobrecht in 1839, the $5 Liberty Gold Half Eagle has become one of the most highly sought after coins on the market today. Each Liberty Gold Half Eagle was minted employing 90.0% gold for a total of .24187 troy ounces. These stunning treasures were minted from 1839 to 1908. Liberty Head $5 half eagles are a historic example of the high quality output of the U.S. Mint over its illustrious history.

Austrian Philharmonic Gold Coin

In 1989, Austrian Gold Philharmonic coins debuted with a 1 oz. coin and a ¼ oz. coin. Both coins had face values listed in Austrian Shillings. As of 2002, these coins have a face value in euros when Austria joined the European Union. Formed in 1842, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra is considered by many to be one of the greatest orchestras in the world and this beautiful gold coin honors that legacy. Designed by Austrian Mint Chief Engraver Thomas Posendorfer, the Gold Philharmonic series was the world’s best selling gold coins in the early to mid-1990s. The playful lyricism of the design and intricate detailing make this gold coin highly desirable and an exceptional work of art.
